Do you remember the 80's? Chances are you only remember bits and peices ;)
However one of my fondest memories was hanging out with my boys listening to our Ghetto Blaster, talking trash and just doing our thing. It may not have been the greatest of lifestyles retrospectively however I will never forget walking down main street with a GhettoBlasterson my shoulder and this old while bloke coming out of the general store and shaking his cane at me. My response was to simply turn it up louder and keep on walking by.
Well its 2009 now and the Ghetto Blaster is back, and its back with a vengeance. Now sleeker, cheaper and more powerful we are going to see the resurgence of this music icon in popular culture very shortly. The majority of modern Ghetto blasters are now iPod compatible and capable of putting out well over 200 Watts of ear bursting crystal clear sound. Furthermore digital controls and equalising means we can get a more personalised sound experience than ever before. I'm on my way out to buy my son a Ghetto Blaster now so he can feel what it’s like to have that power on his shoulder and I can reminisce about the good old days.
Cheers
